Hello loves!
As I'm sure you can tell by the title of this post, I'm going to be telling you about this silicone glove that I use for my brush cleaning! The original purpose of it is an oven mitt however after seeing the Sigma Brush Glove, I wanted to test out the 'brush glove' idea.
I don't own the Sigma glove myself, however aside from the pattern and huge price gap, I personally don't feel that there could be a magical difference. If you own it though, let me know how you feel about it!
I found this silicone oven mitt at Walmart for $5.00. (Compare to Sigma Brush Glove @ $35.00)
It has a pattern of lines which vary in direction on both sides of the mitt.
At first I thought it would be helpful, however after a lot of brush cleaning, it weighed down the mitt and also started to get wet inside―which felt gross. This mitt, however, is silicone inside and out. It feels cool and lightweight, it also works as well as my previous mitt which will be shown in a brush cleaning video I have coming up!
Brush shown is Nanshy Flat Top Buffer Brush.
How do you clean your brushes? Will you be trying this technique?
If you own the Sigma Brush Glove, I'd love to hear how you think this would compare, or try it for yourself and let me know!
This is such a great idea! I've seen the Sigma one before and I'm pretty intrigued by it, but now that I can find one fairly similar at Walmart for way less, I'm all over it! Thank you for this post :)

I was interested in the Sigma mit when it came out, but boy is it pricey! I'm glad there are cheaper alternatives!
ReplyDelete*mitt (lol)
DeleteThe oven mitt looks amazing! I wish I could buy it from you! An oven mitt is like 15 bucks in Singapore... Which sucks :(
