Ahh! I've been so excited to get this post up but it seemed like every time I wanted to swatch there was some problem in the way. Finally, I present you to guys the LVX Summer 2012 collection.
I am so in love with all of these colors! They are so vibrant and perfect for Summer of any year.
Two coats of LVX Ecru
Ecru is a lovely peach-toned nude creme that really surprised me with its opacity. Usually in a nude, it takes three coats or more most of the time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it hardly took me two. LVX always has a way of surprising me with their formulas.
Because of it being a neutral, it works great with any color you choose!
One coat of LVX Avireo
Avireo is a gorgeous and opaque khaki green creme. This formula has excellent opacity but has the least amount of shine out of this collection. (Nothing top coat can't fix, right?) LVX suggests pairing this shade with complimenting vibrant hues like their very own Primrose and Vermillion.
Two coats of LVX Callais
Callais, my personal favorite, is a stunning vibrant light blue creme. I don't have any shade like this and I fall in love with it every time I apply it. LVX suggests for an ultra-chic look pair Callais with neutral hues such as gray and taupe or mix it up with a touch of golden and fuchsia hues.
Two coats of LVX Primrose
Primrose is described as a delicate yet powerful yellow creme. This shade was shocking to me. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. The formula and color caught me by surprise and I fell head over heels! LVX suggests for a refreshing look, pair primrose with vigilant neutrals such as white, nude and gray. Be audacious—be bold, and pair this perfect yellow hue with orange and turquoise.
Two coats of LVX Vermillion
Vermillion is an eye-catching tangerine red creme. This color is so vibrant it's hard for me to take my eyes off of it. It has an incredible shine to it with an extremely easy to apply formula. LVX suggests to revolutionize the classic nautical look of navy, white and red and pair Vermillion with turquoise and subtle nudes.
One coat of LVX Livid
Livid, an intense and deep jet black creme. This shade has officially taken my spot as my favorite black shade. (For those of you unaware, it was formerly China Glaze Liquid Leather) LVX suggests to pair it with white with touches of lavender, orange, and turquoise to embrace the whimsical spirits of the season.
I love Avireo, such a gorgeous shade <3

ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection!
ReplyDeleteSigh so in love with these <3
ReplyDeleteI must admit at first I was't really impressed by this brand - cremes are just not always that exciting. BUT, it seems the formula is so good! Might have to try some..
