I was a bit misinformed since I was under the impression that today was Veterans Day, though it was "legally" yesterday. However, today is observed Veterans Day due to it falling on a Sunday. (I believe)
I also decided to share, along with the manicure, a little bit of information about my family.
Click the Read More button if you're interested in seeing that! :)
For this manicure, I used China Glaze Snow, China Glaze Hey Sailor, and China Glaze First Mate. I didn't want to do something common or predictable, so I decided to go with sponging on the colors.
The image you see above is of my Dad's Purple Heart medal
A little information about my family, I have a few family members that I know of that are/were veterans. On my Dad's side, my grandfather was a marine and served in World War II, my dad was a Marine as well and fought in the Vietnam war. Both of his brothers were in the military as well. (One in the air force and the other I'm not entirely sure of.) For those of you who don't know, my Dad passed away in 2009 from cancer. I wish I could have been able to ask him more about his life, I was younger so things like that didn't really occur to me. (I also only saw him on weekends and during Summer when school was out.)
Well, that's it for this post! I'm sorry if this comes off a bit gloomy, it's not what I intended at all!
