Addicted to sponging?

Lately, I really feel like I'm addicted to the sponge technique when it comes to doing my nails.
I guess it could be because it's the ideal method for me.
Since I'm typically impatient when it comes to doing my nails (I always want to do things while they're drying) I find this works best for me since it dries so fast.
It also looks like you put a lot more effort into it than you actually have to,
and there's so many colors to experiment with!

This time I went with white, pink, purple, and a touch of red.

(Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
Sinful Colors- Pink Forever
Wet n Wild - On A Trip
Sinful Colors - Boogie Nights)

I want to try doing gradient next with this method and see how that turns out.

Also!
I'm pretty much out of my top coat and I'm trying to find another good one.
I've been looking in Seche Vite but it seems pretty expensive. (I've seen for $8-10)
Does anyone have suggestions for me?
I prefer shine rather than matte.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Yay sponging! I love the way this mani looks :)
In one of Jayne's posts, she said she's been using the Out The Door topcoat and my sister has been using it too :) It's supposed to be a good alternative to Seche Vite and I saw it at Target for about $5 I think...

  4. When I saw the title I kept singing "Gonna have to face it, you're addicted to sponge" to myself. Anywho, I love the sponging, especially the gradient, can't wait to see how that turns out. I'm currently loving the Sally Hansen Double Duty top coat, but I've no idea how much it is in the States.

    1. Haha. (:
I love it too, I can't wait to try out the gradient and see how that goes.
I have a 'Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat' which I use as a base coat but it usually leaves bubbles when I use it as a top coat, and ocassionally as a base. However, it is pretty old.
      Thanks for the suggestion!

    1. Thank you!
What I do is take a make-up sponge and pull it apart into smaller pieces. (Uneven edges is good) Then I put a dot of nail polish on a flat surface, dip the sponge into it, and then dab it around my nail. I do that with multiple colors. (:
